Baby Shower

Here are a little bit more ideas from the last post on baby shower ideas. I made these party centerpieces for my Baby boy Baby Shower. I tried to make them initially with the big orange tin pails. But since I couldn't find anymore at the only Craft Stores there is around my city, then I added 4 more of the smaller ones and added a ribbon around it to make it a little bit more fun. 

Here are the final results on my centerpieces, I made 4 of the orange ones and 4 more of the smaller ones. I hope you like my ideas!

I personally loved the way they came out. 

I used 4 animals in the big one and only three in the smaller one.

I also added greenery to the back of the animals so it would look  more like a jungle theme.

I been also thinking on adding these to the tables.

 I just bought these adorable glass bowls at the dollar store and bought these

plastic duckies on Amazon. They were very cheap, 2 dozens for only $7.63

I don't know if I will be putting water or little white balls, I don't know about the 

water because there will be so many kids at the shower

than I don't want little accidents to happen.

Adding color dye to the water will be cute too, or maybe glitter to it.

So wait for the next post and I will be showing you how the baby shower came out

 I am very excited because I already have all the stuff and 

I am pretty sure this Shower will be very colorful

Animal Jungle Baby Shower Ideas

So the time is almost here and I been kind of busy on my baby shower decorations since now I have more time for my self. I will be starting to work only twice a week since I can hardly do most of the hard stuff I used to do before.

Sometimes when I wake up I feel kind of depressed that I am working only part time but I mean, time will go by faster than I imagine and I will be back sooner than I thought so I guess I should enjoy my free time.

So as I was saying before. I been pretty busy doing my own decorations for my baby shower.

I have seen so many ideas on baby showers for boys, but the one that really got my attention is been JUNGLE ANIMALS. cute!

So here are some of the ideas that I have in mind and I started doing the centerpieces because I found the cutest tin buckets at Michael's.

I still need to get me more because they ran out of them, so they will call me when they get more of them.

My husband decided to make a baby shower not just for women but for the whole family.

So I will be having lots of people to come over my house.

I been thinking on getting a bounce house for the kids since lots of kids will be running around my house. =]

So today I am 29 weeks and 2 days and I'm pretty excited for everything, my nurse is been coming to my house and been showing me a lot of information that I have never imagined before. She is really getting me ready for the big day.

I am kind of anxious because from the illustrations and all those pictures she shows me about labor, it seems like it will be a very long day and knowing me how I get when I am when stressed out or freaking out I hope that I keep calm and don't release all my stress on my partner.

We will definitely need those Lamaze classes to get ready for the action.

So here are some of the ideas I already have for the baby shower, starting from the centerpieces.

Materials:

• tin bucket [whatever size you would like, this one right here is 6'' tall.]

• flat wooden jungle animals [bought these already painted from Michael's, 4 for each bucket]

• hot silicone or fabric glue like the one I love to use . [from Beacon Adhesives]

• basket/bag shred [ I used bright colors that will match the party balloons]

• wood sticks [I found these at the dollar store, I think they are used for some kind of Chinese food]

• 12'' inch chenille stems [ colors that will match your event] 

• a piece of foam that fits in your bucket to hold the sticks from moving. 

• decorative or plain color ribbon to attach your tags.

• tags or print out a circle like me and just add a thank you note.

INSTRUCTIONS:

*glue the sticks to the wooden animals and leave them overnight for a more firm and strong hold.

* place the foam inside the bucket, I bought the one that is 3-7/8" x 3-7/8" and cut them in halves so that I only used one half for each bucket.

*Add the shred to the bucket until it reaches the top or as you desire.

*stick the animals to the foam very careful, do not break them when trying to stick them in the foam.

you can add 4 if you want or just three like I did.

* Attach the thank you tags to the sides wit the ribbon, I just used the regular drawing program from Google.

hole-punch the side of the circle to put the ribbon.

*curl the chenille stems with your fingers to twist them around the sticks and add a little bit of color.

If you wish you can just paint the sticks and don't use the stems. Whatever you would like, this is the way I decided to make them.

* you can glue them or just twist them around the sticks.

And here is the final result!

Viola! 

total amount spent on this centerpiece: 

bucket: $ 4.99 each

wooden animals: $ 1.00 - $3.99 

chenille stems : $1.00 bag

foam squares: $1.00 each

ribbon : $2.99  12 ft 

wooden sticks: $1.00  bag  [50 pieces]

adhesive bottle : $8.99

shred : $ 1.00 bag enough for 2 buckets

You spend around $10.00 per centerpiece and still have materials left.

 I'm still waiting for other decorations to arrive on the mail like animal print table cloths, balloons, banners ...

I think I will be going crazy!

I love decorating but when doing my own baby shower, everything I see and I like I want to get even when I shouldn't .

Today is a very exciting day for me because my friend of years is having a baby boy, we are all very excited! So with all this announced I am so excited to tell you all that I will be posting more baby shower tutorials in case you guys need ideas too.

Baby Shower Ideas

So today I decided to post some of the pictures of the baby shower my friends and I organized for one of my co-workers.
Here are some of the decorations we used.
I will tell you where we bought some of them.
I hope you like the ideas, the color we chose for the baby shower were hot pink and bright purple. We used daisies too, the colors and flowers came out really cute! The mom loved it!



we put a flower base as center piece on the tables and since the baby was born three days before the baby shower we took a pic of the baby and put some pictures of the baby and all her measurements for the guests to take home.
I think this looked very cute!




I ordered this cupcake holder from AVON. I can reuse it for other parties. It holds up to 24 cupcakes. I love it!



We also had a table for just the cake and we placed a banner on top of it.





I placed the diaper cake in a little table by the presents.I put a picture of the baby and the flowers next to them. Very cute!





I made a diaper cake for the mom. I used all newborn diapers this is why my cake came out small.

I will post a video of how I did the flower centerpieces. Very easy. and the diaper cake too. I hope you liked my ideas I would love to see yours!

Hola a todas aqui les dejo un poco de ideas en como hacer el pastel de baby shower que tanto ansia. Es una manera muy hermosa de decorar la fiesta y este le puede serviar ala futura mama pues los paniales sirven de muchisima ayuda.
Trate de encontrar videos de como se hace el pastel, y de los diferentes estilos de hacer el pastel.

Baby shower Games & Decorations

Hola a Todos Este blog es del baby shower que estamos yo y mis amigas planeando para una amiga de trabajo.

En este caso me encuentro en cargo de los juegos y algunas de las decoraciones por que pues ami me encanta todo eso de decoraciones y cosas creativas y como la verdad mi amigas confian en mi creatividad pues me avente a hacer todo esto.
Estan son algunas de las actividades que estoy organizando para el baby shower:


*"Adivina el numero de objetos"-en este se ponen a veces frijolitos en una jarroncito de cualquier material transparente en este caso use cristal, y las invitadas deben de adivinar el numero de frijolitos o cualquier objetos tu uses, en este caso yo use unos party favors con motivos de baby shower!


*"Sopa de Letras" - todas las invitadas reciben una hoja con una lista de palabras, pero todas las letras de las palabras estan revueltas, ellas tendran que decifrar las palabras y la primera que lo logre tiene que gritar " Basta!" y sera la ganadora.


*"Pasa el panial caliente"-Este juego es igual que la papa caliente, donde todas se sientan en un circulo y al ritmo de la musica se pasan el panial de bebe, alguien mas debe de estar encargado de la musica, y cuando la musica pare, la persona que tenga el panial en las manos va quedando descalificada hasta que queda una ultima.( papa caliente)

*"Dibuja al bebe"-para esto se necesita papel y lapiz: las invitadas se ponen el papel en la cabeza y con la otra mano trataran de dibujar a un bebe en su cabeza, no deben de bajar el papel. Deben de recibir instrucciones de que dibujar paso por paso de la organizadora de juego. Es muy chistoso cuando hacen dibujar la cabezita, el cuerpecito, las manitas, los piecesitos, y despues de ahi se saltan a la boquita y ojitos por que nadie sabe donde dibujo la cabezita! Es muy chistoso! Tendras a todas muertas de la risa!

*"Notas de Consejos para la mama primeriza"
Usare esta cajita para colectar notitas que las mamas con ya mas experiencia le van a dar a la mama primeriza en este caso. algo muy divertido de hacer! =p



"Mide la pancita"-en este juego todas las mamas cortaran un pedazo de papel higienico y tienen que mas o menos adivinar cuanto mide la panzita de la mama sin medirla, ya despues que todas tengan el suyo listo se mide la panza de la mama y la que haiga estado mas cerca gana!


ESTOS ZAPATITOS LOS USARE PARA PONER LAS CARTITAS QUE SE DAN A LAS INVITADAS QUE DAN UN AGRADECIMIENTO DE PARTE DEL BEBE, MUY LINDA POR CIERTO



Tambien hize esta banda que lleva la embarazada como distintibo, con motivos de bebe en este caso azul por que tendra un baroncito.



Cuales son algunas de las ideas que ustedes tienen? Estan son tan solo unas pocas pues todavia me queda mas tiempo.
