You Support
Memberships and donations save animals. PWC is licensed (not funded) by CA Dept. of Fish & Game and US Fish & Wildlife Service, and is a primary care facility of the Oiled Wildlife Care Network. Your support helps return rehabilitated wildlife to the hills and waters of the Central Coast.
WHAT TO DO WITH INJURED OR ORPHANED WILDLIFE
*Return baby birds to the nest when possible.
*Observe from a distance to make sure baby animals are truly abandoned(specially fawns,since mothers leave their newborns for hours while they forage).
*Keep people and pets away from the animal.
*Rescued animals should be put in a well-ventiladed box and placed in a warm,dark,quiet place away from drafts. Do not feed.
*Call the Pacific Wildlife Care Hotline immediately.
